New Residents to Georgia

New residents moving to Georgia are required to provide a valid Georgia driver’s license or Georgia ID with your current Colquitt County address before a license plate can be issued.

New Residents to Colquitt County from Another Georgia County

The vehicle owner’s address can be changed by presenting the following as documentation of residency in Colquitt County:

  • A valid Georgia driver’s license or Georgia ID card with your current Colquitt County address

** The Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) offers one free change of address on Georgia driver’s license per license cycle. You may apply online or in person at one of their facilities. Visit their website www.dds.ga.gov for more information.
